Kikuko Inoue Voices Macne Nana Virtual Singer's 'Sister'

GarageBand software for Macs can synthesize vocal songs for Macne Coco

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: On Wednesday, the Mac Fan magazine for Mac computer users is unveiling Macne Coco, the "older sister" to its ongoing Macne Nana virtual singer project. Kikuko Inoue, the voice actress best known for her serene older sister characters such as Kasumi in Ranma ½ and Belldandy in Ah! My Goddess, is voicing the character.

Users of GarageBand, Apple's Mac OS X desktop music (DTM) software, can apply the voice sample data from Inoue's Coco character or Haruna Ikezawa's Nana character to synthesize vocal songs. Both voice actresses had recorded the 50 phonetic moras in the Japanese language and their variations to create the voice sample collections.
