posted on by Egan Loo
This year's 19th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on Wednesday that an anime adaptation of Tamiki Wakaki's Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai (The world god only knows) romantic comedy manga has been green-lit. A footnote at the end of the 94th manga chapter in that issue has further announced that the manga is taking a one-issue break due to work on the anime and novel adaptations.
The manga centers on Keima Katsuragi, a high school boy who is known as the "Capturing God" for his success at romance simulation games. However, thanks to a contract with a devil, he now has to capture the hearts of real girls to catch the runaway spirits hidden in those hearts.
The manga has been running in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 2008, and the eighth compiled book volume will ship on April 16.
Update: More background and story information added.
Update 2: Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai's title corrected. Thanks, Pedestrian A.
