Square Enix Reports Loss in April-September 2012

Square Enix Holdings reported a loss of 5.48 billion yen (about US$68.3 million) for the fiscal period from April 1 to September 30, 2012. It did report strong sales for Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D, but otherwise, console videogame sales dropped from the same period last year.
On the other hand, Square Enix Holdings reported good results from personal computer and smart phone platforms, particularly Sengoku IXA and Final Fantasy Brigade. Dragon Quest X is also performing well.
