James Patterson, Narae Lee's Maximum Ride volume 6 ranks at #9

The 59th volume of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga ranked at #15 on Nielsen BookScan's list of top 20 graphic novels in American bookstores for November. The volume was the only manga listed on December's list. James Patterson and Narae Lee's Maximum Ride volume 6 ranked at #9.

Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic series filled 10 slots on December's chart, with the #1 spot belonging to The Walking Dead Compendium volume 1.

The same volume of Naruto ranked at #7 on November's list. Naruto volume 59 also ranked in Diamond Comics Distributors' top 500 graphic novels of 2012 at #310.

The BookScan rankings represent sales at Barnes & Noble and other book chains, independent bookshops, and online purchases — but not sales at comic book stores, Walmart, and some other venues.

In comic book stores, graphic novel sales were up 8.25% compared to sales in December 2011.
