Funimation Entertainment has posted a list of additional screenings of Mamoru Hosoda's Wolf Children film. The film will play in Dallas as part of the Dallas International Film Festival on April 8 at the Angelika 6 theater and on April 13 at the Magnolia 5 theater. The film will also screen in San Diego as part of the San Diego Asian Film Festival Spring Showcase on April 20 and 21 at the Digiplex Mission Valley theater. As previously reported, the film will also play in Santa Monica's Aero Theatre on April 27.
Wolf Children covers 13 years and begins with a 19-year-old college student named Hana who encounters and falls in "fairy tale-like" love with a "wolf man." After marrying the wolf man, Hana gives birth and raises two wolf children — an older sister named Yuki ("snow") who was born on a snowy day, and a younger brother named Ame ("rain") who was born on a rainy day. When the wolf man suddenly dies, Hana decides to move to a rural town far removed from the city. Funimation licensed Wolf Children and plans to release it this year in theaters and on home video.
Wolf Children was screened The New York International Children's Film Festival on March 9 and 10, and will play again on the 24.
