Ikaruga Shooting Game 'Greenlit' for Steam

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Steam Greenlight, the system that lets the Stream digital distribution service's community vote for which games to release, has "greenlit" the Ikaruga shooting game from Japanese developer Treasure.

The game will be available for PCs sometime in the future and will based on the Xbox 360 version of the game. The Steam version will support vertical mode, local two-player co-op, Double Play Mode where you can play two ships with one controller, and an Xbox 360 controller. Treasure added the game to Steam Greenlight earlier this month.

On Steam Greenlight, if enough people vote to say that they would buy the game if it were available on Steam, then the company Valve would make the game available on the PC. Treasure originally released the game in arcades in Japan in 2001.
