Heroic Legend of Arslan 2nd Season Reveals New Visual, 2nd Mini Vocal Drama

The official website for the Arslan Senki: Fūjin Ranbu (The Heroic Legend of Arslan: Dust Storm Dance) television anime series revealed a new key visual on Thursday.
The website also began streaming a second mini vocal drama episode on Thursday featuring the voices from the anime series. The second episode is titled "Feudal Lord and Slave." In the drama, Arslan mulls over the difficulty of emancipating slaves after the matter at Kashan Fortress, and he has a change of heart after talking to Narsus and Elam. The end of the episode features an interview with Narsus' voice actor Daisuke Namikawa and Elam's voice actor Natsuki Hanae.
The first episode, titled "One Boy, One Soldier," debuted last month.
The show's new cast members are (character name romanizations are not officially confirmed):
- Tetsu Inada as Ilterish
- Tesshô Genda as Tokhtamysh
- Sōma Saitō as Jimsa
- Satoshi Hino as Melrain
- Ai Kayano as Irina
- Takahiro Sakurai as Shagad
- Kenjiro Tsuda as Graze
The new season will be eight episodes long, and it will premiere on July 3. The new season will air on Sundays at 5 p.m. on MBS and TBS, which is the "Nichigo" timeslot.
The staff and cast are returning to the new series, but Kyō Yamashita is the new CG director, replacing Daisuke Suzuki, and Tatsuya Shimano is replacing Hiroshi Adachi as the modeling director. Felix Film is replacing SANZIGEN with the 3DCGI. Eir Aoi (Sword Art Online, Fate/Zero) will perform the new season's opening theme song "Tsubasa" (Wings), and Kalafina (Madoka Magica, first season of The Heroic Legend of Arslan) will perform the ending theme song "blaze."
