The first "gag edition" promotional video premiered on Friday, and a third promotional video will premiere on Sunday.
The series will premiere on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto on the night of Friday, April 6 at 1:35 a.m. (effectively Saturday morning). The anime will also air on April 10 on BS Fuji.
Rikiya Koyama is joining the cast as Honda Tadakatsu.
Renka is returning to perform the theme song "Kingyo Namida" for the third season's first cour (quarter of a year).
The gag manga centers on a young female ninja named Chidori, whose dream is to help the Warring States-era warlord Oda Nobunaga to achieve his goals. Shigeno launched the manga in Young Animal in 2008, and Hakusensha published the manga's 12th compiled volume in August 2017. Hakusensha will publish the 13th volume on March 29. Hakusensha published the third and final volume of Shigeno's Nobunaga no Shinobi Gaiden: Owari Tōitsu-ki (Nobunaga's Shinobi - Chronicle of Owari's Unification) manga in July 2017.
