Elex Media publishes Mika, Yōkan Ōta's original Predator manga

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced on Monday that it has licensed Runba Kokonasu's 4-koma Yo-kai Watch - Geragera Manga Gekijō and Mika and Yōkan Ōta's Hito Kui - Origin manga.

4-koma Yo-kai Watch - Geragera Manga Gekijō is a four-panel comedy manga centering on characters from the Yo-kai Watch franchise.

The manga launched in Shogakukan's Coro Coro Comic Special magazine in 2014. Shogakukan published the manga's second compiled book volume in November 2016.

Elex Media is also publishing Noriyuki Konishi's earlier Yo-kai Watch manga, as well as Chikako Mori's Yo-kai Watch - Waku Waku Nyanderful Days manga. Toonami Asia began airing the television anime series in June 2015.

The manga is a prequel to Mika and Ōta's Hito Kui manga. Hito Kui - Origin's story begins with the beginning of a series of sudden deaths, all from heart attack. All of the deceased received a chain e-mail, from a certain sender that calls itself "Hitokui" or "Predator." The story centers on Yōta, a high school boy who is dragged into this incident, becoming part of the game that determines who the "Predator" lets live and who he kills.

Author Mika and Ōta launched the manga in Shogakukan's Manga ONE app in 2014, and ended it last July. The manga's 10th and final compiled book volume shipped last July.

Mika and Ōta launched the original Hitokui manga in Shogakukan's Ura Sunday website in 2012, and ended it in 2014. The manga received nine compiled book volumes. Elex Media is releasing the manga under the title Predator, and it shipped the manga's ninth volume last July.
