Manga inspired TV anime that premiered on April 12

Ichijinsha began streaming a promotional video on Thursday for the sixth volume of Fujita's Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga that also reveals that the manga is getting a live-action film.

Fujita also drew a commemoration image for the announcement.

The manga's sixth volume will ship on July 31. The video also reveals that the manga has 7 million copies in print (including digital sales).

The manga inspired an 11-episode television anime adaptation that premiered on April 12. The anime streamed on Amazon Prime Video inside and outside of Japan.

The manga's story centers on the awkward romantic comedy between Narumi, a female office worker who hides her fujoshi lifestyle, and Hirotaka, a handsome and capable company man who is secretly a game otaku.

Fujita launched the manga on the image sharing website pixiv in 2014. In November 2015, the manga moved to Ichijinsha's Comic POOL digital manga magazine. Ichijinsha shipped the fifth compiled volume on February 2. Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga in English, and released second omnibus volume on June 12.
