Visual, 2 new cast members also revealed for film opening on March 29

The official website for the anime films of Kenji Saitō and Akinari Nao's Trinity Seven manga began streaming a full trailer for the second film on Thursday. The trailer reveals the film's title as Trinity Seven: Heavens Library & Crimson Lord (Trinity Seven: Tenkū Toshokan to Shinku no Maō).

The trailer previews ZAQ's theme song "Against the Abyss." ZAQ previously performed the opening theme song for the Trinity Seven television anime, as well as the theme song for the Trinity Seven: Eternal Library & Alchemic Girl anime film.

The staff also revealed a visual and two new cast members for the film.

The new cast members include:

Tomoaki Maeno as Abyss=Trinity

Shizuka Itou as Judecca (Black Emperor Sword)

The film features returning staff, including director Hiroshi Nishikiori, scriptwriter Kenji Saitō, character designer and chief animation director Shinpei Tomooka, composer TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND, and anime studio Seven Arcs Pictures. Avex Pictures is distributing the film. The film will also feature a returning cast.

The film will open at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo and other theaters throughout Japan on March 29.

Yen Press is publishing the manga in English, and it describes the story:

Arata Kasuga transfers to the Royal Biblia Academy to solve the mystery of the destruction that is ravaging the world and that - more importantly - has stolen his cousin Hijiri from him. It's a tough road that lies ahead of Arata, but nothing's impossible when you have seven beautiful girls - each a master of her own magical art - at your side!

Saito and Nao launched the manga in Monthly Dragon Age magazine in 2011. Kadokawa published the manga's 19th compiled book volume on July 9. Yen Press published the manga's 15th compiled book volume on November 13. The manga has more than 3 million copies in print. The series has inspired spinoff manga, including Trinity Seven: Liese Chronicle, Trinity Seven: Levi Ninden, and Trinity Seven: Seven Days.

The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime series that premiered in October 2014, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks released the series with an English dub on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in August 2016.

Crunchyroll also began streaming the Trinity Seven: Eternal Library & Alchemic Girl film in March 2017. The film opened in Japan in February 2017.

The manga is inspiring a smartphone game titled Trinity Seven: Phantasm Library & Seventh Sol that will debut this spring.
