Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Game's Trailer Previews Story Mode

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Game available for PS4, Switch, Xbox One now; Steam version to launch in summer

The official website for Hasbro, Lionsgate, and nWay's Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid game began streaming a story trailer on Tuesday. The video previews a free update that added a new story mode, three additional characters, new voice-overs with the original cast, and four new battle arenas.

The update added the characters Dragon Armor Trini, Udonna, and Cenozoic Blue Ranger. The new selectable arenas are Corinth and Planet Earth: Cenozoic Era, and the new non-selectable arenas are Command Center (Malfunctioning) and Lord Drakkon's Throne Room (Flashback).

The game launched for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on March 26 and for PlayStation 4 on April 2. The game is also slated to launch for PC via Steam in summer.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid features current and classic Rangers and villains from the 25-year franchise. Features include team battles, online functionality, a streamlined combat system, and cross-platform play between the Switch, Xbox One, and PC versions. The game will also offer online tournaments and missions throughout the year.

Hasbro acquired the full Power Rangers brand from Saban in 2018.
