posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Aniplus-Asia announced on Sunday that it will air a simulcast of the television anime of Light Tuchihi's The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious (Kono Yūsha ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchō Sugiru) novels. The series, under the title Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, will premiere on Aniplus-Asia on Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. GMT +8.
The anime will premiere in Japan on AT-X on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. The show will then debut on AbemaTV, Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV later that night, before premiering on TV Aichi and BS11 on Thursday. AbemaTV will exclusively stream the series in Japan.
The anime stars:
- Yūichirō Umehara as protagonist Seiya Ryūgūin
- Aki Toyosaki as Ristarte
- Kengo Kawanishi as Mash
- Aoi Koga as Eruru
- Hibiku Yamamura as Aliadoa
- Atsushi Ono as Selseus
- Keiko Han as Ishista
Masayuki Sakoi (Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, Matoi the Sacred Slayer, Celestial Method) is directing the anime at WHITE FOX. Kenta Ihara (Saga of Tanya the Evil, Vinland Saga) is writing and supervising the series' scripts, and Mai Toda (Matoi the Sacred Slayer, Girls' Last Tour) is designing the characters.
MYTH&ROID are performing the opening theme song "TIT FOR TAT," and Riko Azuna is performing the ending theme song "be perfect, plz!"
The story begins when the goddess Ristarte summons a hero to help her hard mode video game-like world. The hero, Seiya, is exceptional in every way, but he is incredibly cautious. He does things like buy three sets of armor (one to wear, a spare, and a spare for the spare) and go full power against weak slimes (just in case).
