Pre-Orders Start for Ghost in The Shell Ukiyo-E from Pazzy Entertainment
SHIBUYA, TOKYO – Sept 2, 2015 – Pazzy Entertainment is pleased to announce “GHOST
IN THE SHELL Ukiyo-E” to start receiving pre-orders worldwide at it's online store
OtakuWorks Shop (http://www.otakuworks-shop.com/).
The first artwork of “GHOST IN THE SHELL Ukyo-E” is based on the poster visual of the
1995 animated film “GHOST IN THE SHELL” directed by Mamoru Oshii, and is hand-
carved and printed using Japanese traditional Ukiyo-E woodblock printing techniques on
“Tesuki-Housyou-Washi” (Japanese hand-made paper) made by the living national treasure
ICHIBEI IWANO.
Each print will bear original poster creator HIROYUKI OKIURA's wood-carved and hand-
printed signature. (current signature is under development and not final)
The second artwork will be based on “GHOST IN THE SHELL : THE MOVIE” (2015) and
will be drawn by the general director of the series, KAZUCHIKA KISE. Second artwork
design to be announced and pre-orders will start soon.
All hand-carved and hand-printed one by one in a limited series of 300 impressions,
“GHOST IN THE SHELL Ukiyo-E” is a must buy for all GITS fans!!!

About Ukiyo-E and the artisans
*Ukiyo-E is a genre of wood block prints and paintings that flourished in Japan from the 17th
through 19th centuries. There are only a few artisans who inherit the skills of Ukiyo-E in
Japan nowadays. Among the few, the very best has gathered in realizing “GHOST IN THE SHELL Ukiyo-E”. Kazuo Watanabe, a Edo-Mokuhanga Traditional Craftsman, will be wood
carving, Hideo Yoshida, who is certified as a Preservation Craftsman Skills, will be hand-
printing this Ukiyo-E. Washi, the Japanese traditional handmade paper, will be supplied by
ICHIBEI IWANO, who is certified as “Living National Treasure” of Japan.
