Olympusat's FUNimation Channel is changing its name to TOKU
West Palm Beach, FL – December 18, 2015 - Olympusat, Inc., announces today that the new name for the FUNimation Channel is TOKU. This is an effort to reflect the channel's evolving programming strategy as more viewers watch TOKU. TOKU will “BE REANIMATED”, but continue to deliver Asian anime series and expand its catalog with a variety of highly rated Asian movies in the Live Action, Grindhouse and Independent genres that will showcase popular titles such as Ichi the Killer, Hansel & Gretel, The Machine Girl, Ladies vs. The Butler, and many more.
“We are very excited to bring our viewers more live action and anime titles than ever with TOKU. The network will feature programming from all over Asia, and will also include fan favorites and cult classics,” stated Tom Mohler, CEO of Olympusat.
TOKU is the abbreviated version of the word Tokusatsu, which is the Japanese term for Live Action, in which TOKU will bring plenty of it to the table. Aside from Live action, Toku will also feature the most sought after Asian Anime titles and Cult Classics.
TOKU is available through various operators such as Xfinity On Demand and AT&T U-Verse 24/7 (ch. 1484).
