ok this is gonna sound really strange, but is it just me? or do the words to the theme song keep changing over the course of the show. granted i've been watching this in subtitles, but even in the way guy sings it, you can still tell that it sounds different.

Nah, the words stay the same. You gotta love the nonsensical English in the ending though:
I BELIEVE... IN DRASTIC MY SOUL!!!!

ok i went back and checked, and i'm sure beyond 90% accuracy now, that the words do change. not the whole entire thing, but it's at the same point of the song everytime. i'm guessing it has to do with the alternating intros.

What do you mean by changing words? Maybe it's the fansub quality. Because I would imagine they'd use the same recorded song for every single identical theme.

Actually, the lyrics do change after a set number of episodes. Scryed, for example, has different edits of the OP song. There are typcially full length versions of OP/ED songs for anime, and they create a "TV Edit" for the show. The edits are sometimes subtle, but they do use different parts of the song. Another more recent example is Wolf's Rain. Since the words are originally in English, it is hard to dispute the fact that the words, and even the way it is sung is ever so slightly different. Another one I can think of off the top of my head is Full Metal Panic where the "TV Edit" OP changes slightly.
