 Watching an episode yesterday on tv where they are in the forest before the exam and they fight Orochimarou, I could swear to god Sakura says "SASUKE!" more times then the dialogue of everybody combined. If I was Sasuke I would yell at her or stab her with a kunai. She is the most annoying character I have encountered in my entire life. "SASUKE!" "SASUKE!" You know what made me angrier...Sasuke is lieing on the ground thinking about Itachi and Sakura has the NERVE to say, "Get up and do something, don't be a coward," or something along the lines of that. My jaw dropped. She's telling him to fight when she does NOTHING. NOT A DAMN THING. I'm sorry if this post achieves nothing but I had to get this off my chest. I just hope in the later episodes Sakura gets killed off or something because I can't stand to watch her much longer. She is a waste of a character. It Sakura could fight she would be awesome. *catches breath*. Do you guys have the same beef as I do.

How am I only thinking of myself? It's my opinion. It's not pathetic at all. I'm not the first person on here to have an angry rant. Heck, I saw some post where some guy was ragging on the mods. That's more pathetic than this.

I understand your frustration with Sakura. She's useless in battle. But on the other hand, she makes the anime appeal to more girls. She also provides some good material for the doujinshi artists to work off of.
I don't know what's funnier in that thread. The person asking for the download and getting pissed off or the people backseat moderating and getting pissed off. |

If you're looking to see Sakura actually doing something in the series, then spoiler[you've got to wait a long time. She doesn't do anything special until part 2, which is after the fillers.]
But yeah, I saw that one person curse off someone on the staff. He's a ban waiting to happen. I'm surprised no one's gotten to that. It's been like 3-4 hours. |

If only people would stick with the series... 
See what I mean? You have to stick with it (hint hint). Yes, it's a long series, but those who complain about Sakura will find a foot in their mouth. I've learned with a lot of series that it's quite rewarding to wait till the end. Edit: Actually, I can't really say that. Those who watch the CN version shouldn't give up on a character so early in the series, though. |

I watched 26 episodes just to see it. It was good. I'd rather leave it off on a good note. You want me to watch more (up to the filler arc where I heard it turns into crap) and lower my opinion of it? (happened to me with DBZ)
I honestly can't think of any kind of ending that would make sitting through all that crap in DBZ worth it. What about Inuyasha? Heard it had a "great" totally inconclusive non-rewarding ending. I usually finish all the series I watch. The 100+ episode ones are my only exception, because they just aren't worth it to me. |

If you've only watched that far, then you haven't seen anything. Sure, Sakura does suck mostly all through part 1 and is pretty useless, but I heard she gets better in part 2, which should be coming up soon infact; episode 186-ish.
Actually, near the end of part 1, during the fillers, she's shown that she has gotten better. spoiler[She ends up training with Tsunade and gets this insane strength just like Tsunade. It's funny to watch her punch Naruto now because he goes flying halfway across Konoha.  ]

I totally agree with you... but then again she's the kind of character you love to hate. And besides, there has to be that one character who is extremely outmatched (basically a human being) so that way there is a reference point... For example, well, in a fight, we'd be like sakura and wuldn't know what was going on and would usually just be in the way... DBZ did the same thing with Krillian, as well as a few other characters here and there. In Science/Psychology it is refered to as the "Control," or "Control Group." Whenever an experiment is taken about people, there is one group that gets the drug, one that gets a placebo and one that gets nothing. The one that get's the drug would be Kakashi (with all his cool abilities). The one that gets the placebo would be Naruto (he thinks he is better then he is and sometimes gets lucky). And the one that gets nothing would be Sakura (she can't do anything in a fight, and knows it)... haha, hope this helps, Khrim |

I like you're connection, or analogy, of the placebo-theory x_silversurfer. It not only makes sense, but is gives a good laugh at Naruto. Anyhow, I admit to being one of those people who got annoyed with Sakura always standing there doing nothing. However, my opinion of her softend up just a titch when, during the 2nd part of the Chunin exams where Sasuka and Naruto are both out, she acknowledges the fact that she's done nothing up to that point. She just criticized Naruto about being a lousy ninja, but realize it was her that was dragging the team down. So, from that point on, my view of Sakura is no longer as harsh, and more understanding. She realizes she's the weak link and plans on changing that....she just won't start changing that for awhile.
