Of all the garbage they can pick, they chose this one? Jesus, the story was so bad the author basically just decieded to restart it at one point. The art is sloppy and poor at best, and none of the characters are easy to like. I mean the story is okay but thats about it.
Its basically like a crappy Edo era blue gender.

The art reminds me of Katanagatari,with all of the colorful clothes and eccentric character designs.I never really read the manga,but even if the plot of manga is bad that doesn't necessarily mean that the plot of anime will be bad. I have seen a lot of anime that improve original material.
