I'm a big fan of Anime World Order, along with Dave and Joel. The former being a show that often times does overlooked, rare anime titles and since all the members are older then 15 they are interesting to listen to.

Dave and Joel is like anti-anime postcast, they will from time to time talk about videogames, but their views on anime are pretty similar to mine.

Also both groups aren't fans of Moe if that's what you were looking for, also the weekly anime podcast is really amazing every week there a new review so you might want to check that out. I'd also say check out the Ninja Consultant, Erin (on the show) worked on the CN show Code name kids next door, and you'll hear some old school stories about anime fandom.

Well what's it about? Does it just like bash anime all the time or something?

Anyways, all I subscribe to (on iTunes, that is) is Anime Pulse. I like it....and the shows are long...so it's usually worthwhile.

Oh no no, they don't bash anime.....well the anime titles that do suck they are honest about why it sucks.....aka having sex with sister is a no no no.

I also like it because it doesn't have the feel of any other anime podcast, it sounds like two guys who are just chatting about a show they saw. It's kind of a nice break between the other shows, also I find them extremely funny.

AWO is my favourite - they are elitist snobs and proud of it but there's nothing wrong with that as long as they agree with you Wink I like Ninja Consultants too, but they have all but stopped updating. Fast Karate bores me to tears, but Dave has such a sexy voice I could listen to him reading shipping news.

The fine folks at AWO kind of are elitist snobs but their honest about it, and they speak their mind which is find with me; since it's well backed up. Ninja Consultants were still in Japan on vacation last I heard, they did record a podcast last week that got ruined according to Erin.

What seriously? I don't know if I say that Dave has a sexy voices I don't think (I'll admit I do enjoy Daryl's (from AWO) impersonation of Dave....) there's anything wrong with it either Wink, but I, but I think that both Dave and Joel are an interesting pair, and pretty entertaining (have you heard the MGS podcast?) to me at least...but to each his/her own.

Yep, exactly. They entertain me for hours (literally) and I've spent way too much money on the stuff they recommend. And although they always say they are really crap at updating on time, they are pretty much guaranteed a show a week. Unlike...

They've done like two podcasts in three monthts. Last I heard was the Comiket podcast which had terrible quality (although it was very interesting) so I do hope they continue. I enjoy especially Erin's contributions, she seems like a really nice person.

Hey, just take it as a complement it was intended as Smile

Your podcast isn't to my taste because of the subject and the style, but I still think you guys are cool. And in case of Dave, ahem, sounding damn sexy Embarassed

Other then the three above which I subscribe to on a regular basis, I would say to take a look at these three. I've listen to all of them and from time to time I will listen to them if there an interesting episode.

Otaku Generation
Anime Pulse
Weekly Anime Review Podcast

Enjoy, also if you listen to any of the podcast lots of times they have "commerical" breaks where they play an advertisement for a podcast, which is where I learned about most of the podcast that I listen to.

About this anti-anime Dave & Joel podcast - anyone who has to make a podcast about something they DON'T like really needs to get a life. Seriously. Like I want to listen to some moron ramble on for 20 minutes about how much he hates Cowboy Bebop and believs all anime to be porn, yet probably praises some crappy sports game like Madden 2004 or whatever crap so he can pretend to be cool.

I say anti, not meaning that they hate on every anime title out there but that they (Dave and Joel) don't sound like the other anime podcast. No they don't hate on every single anime, they hate on Hideo Kojima, and no they don't say that every game is amazing. My advise is to check it out if you want to, then decide if they are 'haters.'

Hey now, I think you misunderstood Delta, as he was so quick to point out. It's true that our podcast can be predominantly negative, but that's just the name of the game. On our show we talk about things we've just experienced. Where other podcasters will cherry pick their topics, we put a DVD in the player and say go. We talk about things we like from time to time, but since the rule is 90% of everything is crap, probability suggests that we're not gonna give a whole lot of "A++++, would buy from again!!"-type feedback. Besides, not enough anime has the following:

1) Robots
2) Lesbians
3) Robot lesbians

So it's very hard to be positive sometimes, I hope you understand.

Personally, I think our show fills a niche that many people won't talk about: like any other medium, bad anime is out there, and there's SCORES of it. There's no shortage of websites out there that will slap a B+ rating on everything they've ever seen. We don't think that way, and feel like there needs to be some sort of counter-position.

Or that's the argument I'd make if I really cared about making an argument. Here's a simpler, less serious one: a whole heck of a lot of people have that sadistic bent of loving when someone rails on something bad. I'd like to think we do that pretty admirably, and since being outraged and sour about inconsequential stuff like Japanese cartoons is my only appreciable trait (aside from having the sexiest voice on the internet Cool Cool), I feel like it works out pretty well for everyone involved.

In closing: Madden sucks? For sports games, I prefer Virtua Tennis, and Winning Eleven. Confused
