I know not many take a look at the retail forum regularly so I wanted to post this out here as well. From The Right Stuf International site.
I've already placed an order but I'll probably order again. If anyone's been looking for Get Backers, Full Metal Panic, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, Angelic Layer, Elfen Lied, Chrono Crusade, Evangelion, Gantz, Gatchaman, Nadia, Noir, Peacemaker, Pretear, Princess Tutu, Sakura Wars, that Najica artbox with the panties, or a bunch of other stuff from ADV this is a good time to go get some. |

That's a clever way for them to get rid of bad anime and good anime that are already available in boxsets...

Yeah well with this kind of a sale these items are often sold out extremely quickly. Jump onto this as soon as possible otherwise everything will be gone.....other then all those random live action series. |

The only thing I had really wanted was Princess Tutu but 1 and 4 are already sold out
 I'm actually pretty shocked that there is so little I want from the sale. I can't even come up with 10.

I wanted Princess Tutu, and Angelic Layer, but the volumes I want are gone. I noticed this,
I purchased some other items that weren't part of the ADV sale, which I was fine with, but it didn't tell me I had to do a separate order and just added the total of my coupon and additional items together. |

Remember guys that this works similar to the Geneon sale last year so in order to take full advantage of the coupon codes, you need to have items that are exclusive to the sale. Also be aware that not all of the ADV singles are eligible for the sale. For instance, some volumes of Gilgamesh and Madlax are not listed on the abundance list that TRSI designated for the sale.
I'm kind of curious if TRSI will do the same thing for the FUNimation and Bandai titles in the future. |

I was looking forward to this, but just last week I ended up buying about 1/2 of the ADV items I wanted, and the others i want they're missing a bit too much of for me to want to take advantage of this.
Of course, with the Geneon sale last year, they sometimes would replenish the stock of items, so I might just watch and see if they get in the stuff I actually want then order. If they don't, I think I'll just have to pass. |

Argh, I'm kind of dissapointed that they already sold out of some of the stuff I wanted! Why oh why didn't I check it sooner!!! I'll see if I can scrape together ten that I really want. However, definitely thanks for the update, I'll pay closer attention in the future!

Ack I already ordered thinking there were only 4 volumes of Gilgamesh. Well, I'll pick up the others another time. For the price of 4 dollars a dvd this is a sale I can never refuse, unless I was totally flat out broke. I found it interesting though that this sale includes volumes with art boxes but from what I could tell the Geneon sale didn't. I wanted Princess Tutu and Super Gals also, but they were sold of of volumes of both of those. But I hopefully got my 6 volumes of Petite Princess Yucie, woot! |

I sort of figured that ADV would be next to get this treatment, since Geneon and ADV have more extensive catalogues than anyone else (that I know of, anyway), and any extensive catalogue is bound to have some "underperformers" as the industry calls them. And not surprisingly, a lot of the titles on there are shows that I wouldn't even want to watch for free. Still, there are some like Gilgamesh, Godannar, E'S Otherwise, and Divergence Eve that I'd be willing to check out, but I'll have to see what kind of state I'm in after a convention this weekend. Plus, there's always a chance that they'll add volumes or series like they did with the Geneon sale, so a little holding out may go a long way.
EDIT: I can't believe they still have the Noir Vol. 1 + Box...I thought that thing was OOP ages ago, or at least it came up "No Longer Available for Purchase" when I clicked the link from ANN's Encyclopedia. |

I got mine...all six! Bwa ha ha ha!!!  And I just ordered about an hour ago!
Or, they just let me order it anyway...  I didn't actually check the availability. Well, if they tell me that I can't get them then I'll just cancel the order and get the PT box set later on this year.
Zalis, while I liked E's Otherwise, but I hated spoiler[the ending. It's...unresolved. Needless to say then ending ruined the series for me. The animation and the story are good, but...] |

TRSI's servers are taking a dive yet again. Can somebody please have a nice chat with their IT department head about vintage 1970's computer concepts like "failover" and "load balancing"? Do not fear the grid!
The "No longer available" message was probably in reference to TRSI's stock while the ADV sale is probably referencing ADV's stock. |

Lucky... It wouldn't let me order The funny thing is, it says 'Sold Out' but at the bottom of the page under product availability it lists it as "In Stock and Available" . Here
