I have read the sticky topic about avatar setting. The problem is that I can find nowhere to upload an avatar in the profile page. Did I miss anything or the upload is currently not permitted?

It's at the bottom of the edit profile page. The sticky links directly to it, I can see it, if you can't see it something is wrong.

i see many great avatars on this site ..
and i have searched for one on the net ….but its always the wrong size (Mb) and such ..so what exactly should i label my search as? and /or did most of you aficionados get yours made …if so where ? and what are my basic specs for designer? thanks |

Assuming that you have a Windows OS, you should use one of these open source image editors to crop any image you like down to the maximum size permitted. |

Please check the "Avatars" thread in this forum. As I write this it is directly above this thread. In my opinion the best free image editor for cropping and resizing is IrfanView |
