early 2015... That timeframe is painfully long, and I doubt i'll have enough interest to replace my fansubs at that point.

I won't be getting this. I bought season 1 to see if it was any good, but I thought it was really terrible so after I sat through it I sold it to one of my friends who seemed to like it.

I rather like the dub, especially some of the new voice actors that were in it particular those which voiced issei and Asia but 2015 is still quite a bit of along wait
almost as much as the wait for a season 3 i know it will come out at some point i just don't know when |

Hope Funimation uses the DVD/BD version that has an extra 3 minutes per episode.
An easy way to tell when Funimation eventually uploads uncensored streams (for any EVS members) is that in episode 10 the character Ophis makes her speaking debut (she wasn't in the simulcast or uncensored AT-X version). Hopefully Funimation also goes back and dubs the shorts "Fantasy Jiggles Unleashed" from season 1. Many fans (myself included of course) weren't very happy that they were sub-only.

Funi's newer voice talent have also been found in these releases from the last 1.5 years: Date A Live, Haganai/Next, Maken-Ki, Kamisama Kiss, Psycho-Pass, and Michiko & Hatchin. |

I thought funimation had this, and they just had not announced it yet. I agree that is a long wait. As wondering what is taking season 3 announcement so long.

Well, I suppose that I shouldn't be surprised by the long wait, but it's certainly disappointing. That's a long enough wait that I might track down fansubs of the Japanese Blu-rays in the interim, much as I've generally been avoiding fansubs these days and just waiting for the US releases (though I'll definitely be picking up the Funimation Blu-rays regardless). Oh well, at least now we know, and better late than never.
High School DxD is far from perfect, but it's one show that exceeded my expectations by a long shot (at least the expectations that I had after watching the first episode). I didn't know quite what to expect beforehand but did not have a high opinion of it after how it started. However, it quickly improved quite a bit. So, I'm definitely looking forward to the second season. |

They released the first series uncensored with the BD extras, so I'm sure the same will happen here. The bigger question is what are they going to do with the 2 OVA episodes they never released from the first season? |

The announcement of a home video release was pretty obvious, I am surprised that it won't be out for so long.

perhaps those Sunrise/Bandai rescues from last summer finally came in and all attention has been focused on getting them out before the end of the year
