Sad to hear. He had one of slickest voices around. I'll definitely appreciate him when I play Slayer in Xrd. Much respect and hope he can rest in peace.

How was he 80, if he was born in 1932? Incorrect Encyclopedia entry? Anyway, R.I.P.

It's odd that they mentioned Slayer but forgot Chief Chujo from Giant Robo, since Slayer is an homage of Chujo and Alberto.
Anyway, this is very sad news. As was said prior, it'll definitely make his story bittersweet when playing GG Xrd in December. My prayers and condolences to his family, the world is poorer for this loss.

The list of major voice roles came from 81 Produce's biography for Kayumi, as well as the list of major credits in Gadget Tsūshin's news article.

He was in the original Astro Boy so he was as veteran as veteran gets. Rest In Peace.

I'm actually very sad about this. I loved him as James Black in Conan and I will miss him, his voice voice was quite unique.

sadly I've only seen Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and One Piece, everything else I either haven't see or watched dubbed.

This guy was great, I remember vividly many of his roles. Really distinct and warm voice. Bartender left an impression on me.

(sigh) Bummer. Really enjoyed his work as Slayer and Future Boy Conan is one of my favorite classics.
