Given what I've been reading about the movie,he's going to regret real hard for praising it

How dare he have his own opinion in a movie he starred in. Razz

Personally, I don't care about Pixels, but I hope Mr. Iwatani-san enjoyed the movie.

Technically, Denis Akayama plays him in the movie. His creation, Pac-Man certainly has a big part, though Wink

^ Huh, Akayama was the voice of Malachite/Kunzite in DiC's version of Sailor Moon. O.o

I don't care much for Adam Sandler, but at least this looks more original than the stuff he usually does like Grown Ups. I actually enjoyed Click, so he CAN do decent stuff.

I greatly enjoyed the Futurama episode that this is loosely based on, so I'll probably end up seeing it eventually.

At Supanova Sydney last month, they played a trailer for this movie in between every panel I went to on the main stage. I didn't want to see the trailer in the first place, yet after that first time I had to sit thought it about three more times over the weekend.

Billy Madison and Little Nicky are two of my favourite guilty pleasures but it was physically painful for me to sit through Mr Deeds and Anger Management. I don't even want to imagine the horrors of Jack and Jill.

This looks marginally less painful to watch, but I have zero expectations for it.

As much as I want to see this movie, purely due to the giant Pac-Man and (as someone else mentioned) the Futurama episode it reminds me of...Adam Sandler is what will end up keeping me away.

I think the last movie of his, that I really enjoyed, was Big Daddy. So, post 1999, he's been on my blacklist. Laughing

Current reviews for the movie are terrible.

Rotten Tomato: 12%
IMBD: 51%
Metacritic: 26%

Are we really surprised?

10 minutes of a nerd bursting multiple blood vessels reviewing the film, for anyone who cares.Just watch the original short film by Patrick Jean if you want a quick dose of retro game characters causing pixalmania, without any of the Happy Madison scam attached to it.

MovieBob isn't really a good choice he was an employee of a Disney subsidiary and hates everything Sony touches considering them to have permanently ruined gaming by releasing the playstation.

Sharknado season 3 premiered last night - and it was trending.

This movie will do just fine.

I think it is quite cool that he has a cameo role in the movie, according to IMDB's entry

Can special guests at movie premieres go to the box office afterwards and ask for a refund? If early reviews are right, Iwatani-san would have been justified in doing so.
