Room-scale VR could lead to an awesome arcade revival!

Whether seated simulators, spectators modes for fighting games, small room, or big room laser tag.

Just gotta smartly figure out the wiring for that.

There'll probably be those... 'adult' places too... but what to do?

This VR craze is moving along way too fast. Before going any further with this, it might be a good idea to exercise some caution. I can only only imagine the chaos once doctors start talking about the health/psychological effects of this thing.

Hmm, so they're using actual objects in the room. That's actually pretty helpful for the immersion, because pantomime like seen in the image up top does not make for good immersion.

Something like this doesn't look ready for arcades though. It sounds like they'll begin with special events or a place dedicated for these activities. I can see it being as paying a fee to go play it for a bit, not unlike escape rooms and probably around the same price as one.

People have already been acclimatizing with VR since Oculus Rift released the dev kits a few years ago.

We are less than 5 years until the 3rd decade of the 21st century. I think by now we are long overdue for VR from being more mainstream. It may be expensive but so are many video games and many are still popular.
