This guy didn't make the video.
The swatstika was a small part of an image collage that featured many other random images, as well.
The police didn't arrest the singer who also shared the video.
Or the guys who made the video.

What was the intention of including an anime character wearing Nazi imagery? In any case, arresting him for using the image is an excuse to interrogate a guy who doesn't share Putin's worldview, and that is troubling.

Understand why certain countries have laws against Nazi symbology, but it kind of makes it hard to have historical documentation, historical fiction, and comedy or satire in films and TV.
A random image from a Russian music video put into a collage without any context gets someone in trouble, but not the Russian people who originally brought the image in the music video in the first place. Think the law was meant to stop people from glorifying the Nazi's, but in this case it is used to attack a Russian dissident.

In which Russia employs fascism to ostensibly fight against symbols of fascism.

It seems that using the swastika even just for historical references could put you in the Russian PD's hot seat...

As a Russian - no.
If you are using Nazi's symbols in some sort of scientific paper (in other words - academic purposes) - it's one thing. Painting Nazi's swastika one the wall of your house? - Yep, you are in for a talk and the very least.
Same goes for cultural things like swastika in Bleach - no, it's 100% okay, just like the other swastikas, which can be found in russian culture (8-9 centuries, I guess). They are not the same.

Ok, so Semyon Kochkin only shared the video and got arrested, "coincidently" he is part of the political opposition.
I correct my statement from above, Russian justice is a farce, as usual.

Even though I am not a Jew anymore, it doesn't matter. My hatred for Nazis and Nazism is high. However, I do not agree with any law that whitewaahes the impact of Nazism. Let's oppose Nazism through debate. Let's not shut people down for having Nazi memorabilia.
