My friends took me to see Dempagumi.inc at an event last summer. I had to construct makeshift earplugs from paper flyers to protect my ears from the speakers.
I learned on the day that fans of idol groups are expected to know each dance that corresponds to each song performed, which put me in a position of physical inconvenience.

A bunch of otaku idols that claim they can sing and dance that claim Akihabara Karaoke clubs as their place of origin. Scrapping the bottom of the barrel a little bit on the pedigree here with this one. I'm noticing that anime employs a lot of rank amateurs in some pretty key positions lately and while you've surely gotta start somewhere it's just like...wow man. I started skipping a lot more theme songs lately because I just can't stand a lot of the new music that is getting pushed, particularly by Sony Music affiliated acts.
@Zin5ki: I'm sorry to hear that, sounds like an awful experience

Worry not! The experience was but another patch in life's rich tapestry.
