At least we got one success story of a yuri magazine gaining prominence; all the other ones folded. Now if they provide a steady stream of solid, successful yuri titles and not fall into competing against "moe-themed" magazines like Manga Time Kirara, hopefully it'll get other publishers to join in the frey. Though I wonder if the editors has taken note the other East Asian "yuri comics" that's been growing steady like that one from Thailand called "Lily Love" and a chunk of Korean webtoons like "What Does the Fox Say". |

Yuri Hime is getting a monthly release format is fantastic news and really shows just how popular the magazine has become recently. Also I too hope that the "Big Announcement" is that Citrus is getting an Anime adaptation.

Thanks! Hmm, first time I've heard of the magazine.
It's really been a slow and steady rise, that's for sure especially compared say at least a decade before. I'm curious on the audience breakdown at this point. I'd imagine it's not skewed to any other gender unlike BL being skewed towards females. |
