Hi all..

A few days ago I submitted an entry after reading a cool new manga at my local Borders and then finding out it was not in the Encyclopedia.

The piece in question is "Black God"

I submitted it as manga only to later discover it was actually what would be defined as "Manhwa" I just learned about such things recently and I aoplogize for the mistake.

This particular Manhwa though was actually published in Japan, so it's clasification is a bit confusing to me. Does the fact that the work's creator is not Japanese, but published it in Japan, still make it a Manhwa?

Well whatever the answer to that is ok with me. I still would like it to be added to the encycledia even if only under the hidden "manga related" category. I would like to be able to add it to my list of owned manga.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

P.s. Quick link to an article for the piece.

As I mentioned, I read the first volume and it is pretty good!

IMHO since Black God was first published in Japanese, in a Japanese magazine, it is technically manga—but it will definitely need a comment explaining this.

Don't worry. Manhwa titles are added to the Encyclopedia case by case (mostly based on license status), and if it's duplicated or inappropriate we'll just delete the submission.

Only took 6 months, but... manga#9861

Since it was created for the Japanese market, created in Japanese format, and published in Japan, I've decided to label it "manga" although that is certainly debatable.
