Wow, that girl on the cover looks exactly like Shimizu. Makes me wonder if it's recycled love interest design or if Goro and Shimizu's daughter is also a ballplayer. I'd be happy for an anime adaptation. While there were highs and lows, I mostly enjoyed watching Major.

The main character is Goro and Shimizu's son. Their daughter is in the series, too, but she doesn't look like either of the characters on that cover.
