Monica Rial is looking to be quite busy this season. Voicing two major characters in two different shows. Steins;Gate 0 and now Golden Kamuy. Hopefully, she can do a solid job in both roles and I wish her good luck.

She's also continuing her work as Sakura in Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card. She's super busy this season, although I'm sure she will handle it. I enjoy her work, so I'm looking forward to hearing her in this.

Personally, I feel that this series has been fantastic thus far. Blew away my expectations and was a dark horse candidate for the season. Watching the preview for the dub version though, I feel a little less in tune with the characters. I'm going to stick with the sub, as it has given me nothing to complain about to this point. Though by no means am I trying to say that this dub preview sounds 'bad'.

Just finished watching the first ep, love the two leads in their roles. Smile

Yeah, this is gonna be awesome!

Really enjoyed being able to take in more of the sound design this time as well, it's great to hear a lot of background sound in this show. The background music is nice as well, some really nice pieces and also that hero-theme-like track when spoiler[Sugimoto asks her to join him really hits that inspirational feel].

I'm not a fan of Monica in this role specifically.
While she's a talented voice actor and generally can do cute characters i feel her presence here doesn't emphasize the indigenous hardened hunter side characteristics of Asirpa.

That said i think Ian does a fantastic job nailing the Immortal Sugimoto.

Ian is ideal for this role, given his role in Baccano. I'm not to sure about Monica, it's nice that it is not the overloud character she gets typecast as, and she is OK as these deadpan characters, I'm currently watching Chrono Crusade. But that's something missing, in he original she sounds that why because she is serious, here she sounds that way because she is bored.

Totally agree, I keep hearing Tanya which distracts from the character. IMO should have gotten a more "mature" voice.
