Considering that these two running gags keep popping up again and again throughout the manga's entire run, I often wonder what kind of feedback authors get for this kind of stuff. Do Japanese audiences really still find "the teacher is in her late 30s and single" funny, to the point where the editor is telling the author, "oh yeah, that's good, keep putting that kind of stuff in"?
