Does this mean we get a better bluray release? The one I have now is pretty bare bones, low bit rate, no special features and it doesn't even have a 5.1 audio track.

Yeah that blu-ray by Image Entertainment was low budget. I'm certain FUNi will release a much better blu-ray later.

I am satisfied with my Sony Pictures' BD copy of the movie, but I might double dip if Funimation releases a disc with better video and audio quality.
