I really hope that the entire anime series gets a blu-ray release someday. It's too good a series to just let it linger in obscurity.

Loved the 1985 anime and I also enjoyed the two novels that were released in English.

Wait, WHAT??!!! I didn't any of the novels were translated. I just discovered the series and now, I need to go looking for these.

Come to think of it, the Dirty Pair franchise has fared far better in the gauntlet of licence rescues than Shirow's runner-up series.

That depiction of Mughi on the cover is a bit of a........departure from the TV series version, although probably closer to the original author's idea.

Dark Horse published it in 2007.

Cool they released this. I'm curious how well sharp the story/humor/etc will be. I hope he hasn't lost his edge.

Dark Horse published it in 2007. |
Dark Horse also published an original-English manga of The Dirty Pair by Adam Warren. Warren took the original characters and put them into short stories with his Warren-esque style. Warren worked alongside Toren Smith, who of course is renowned for his early manga translation efforts to English.
