Bless you Discotek. First you give me Reborn, now Kyo kara Maoh! I own both seasons (S1 in singles and S2 in a boxset) already, is it worth double dipping for a Blu-ray release? Gotta think on that...

I wonder if they got the rights for S3. If they did it probably won't get dubbed, but I think I'll be OK with that.

To have a change to get all of season 1 of Kyo Kara Maoh... Yes! Back when it first came out, I was only able to get the first DVD. I'll be saving up for this one.

No friggin' way! Manabi Straight?!?! This is the best licensing news I've heard so far! I hope they will license rescue Kodocha, Hikaru no GO, and Negima. Then hopefully, we'll get Mamotte Shugogetten, Sugar Sugar Rune, Ojamajo DoReMi, and Sket Dance.

Massugu GO!

Can't say I ever thought I'd see Manabi Straight get a US release, but I'll be looking forward to it! (^-^)

Happy to hear that the Manabi line has been crossed. Manabi Straight is one of the last series I've been waiting for --- since Kaiba and Windy Days have been licensed, I'm not sure what's left from my wish-list (Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko TV, if you're reading, Discotek).

Same here, MKVarana. I have given up ever expecting to see Manabi Straight get a home release in the U.S since it's been years since this show has broadcasted so this was a surprise for me. I no longer need those episodes I downloaded years ago.

So much this! I have all of the first and second season singles, complete with the little fake cels in each ADV volume, so I won't be double dipping that, but I'd love to complete it with R and season 3.

Quote:
The anime was followed by a five-episode OVA sequel, Kyo kara Maoh! R, and the 39-episode Kyo kara Maoh! 3rd Series television anime.

It was actually followed by a 39 episode second season before the OVA. It doesn't sound like they've licensed that either.

Perhaps Discotek is waiting on sales of KKM! before they commit to getting the rest? I really wouldn't mind it actually.

Surprised to hear about Manabi Straight since I remember a lot of people asking for that show here and elsewhere years ago.

Sentai has Negima and released both shows along with UQ Holder not that long ago.

They'll probably announce season 2 next month if it's anything like the fast releases Beyblade got.
