Cool! I guess one good thing about this show is it can bring back so many past characters because of how expansive it is.

I wouldn't bet on it. Journeys is incredibly weird with how it acknowledges continuity. One episode the show might point out how Ash already knows about Darkrai, but in another episode it will completely ignore the fact that he'd have tons of experience with taking care of Tauros. Or how Team Rocket are apparently not allowed to interact with or even acknowledge any returning characters.
