The original work was a middle aged man whose wife died and reincarnated into a grade schooler. Having never read the work, i assume she reincarnated right away and now as a 5th/6th grader and 10 years old she regained her memory and tracked down her former husband.
The spin off work is about a different guy, now in high school, that fell in love with the reincarnated wife when he was in grade school with her. Implying that the reincarnated wife is now high school age also.
