The one issue I had with the episode was the use of the stock, vase breaking sfx. Always makes me laugh whenever it shows up in a movie/show. Otherwise, they nailed it completely. Got the atmosphere and look down.

It felt just about perfect to me. I was completely blown away.

Never read the manga, but the pacing felt too fast for me. Abruptly jumping from one point to the next one, giving that feeling that something was clearly cut.
The rotoscoping wasn't always graceful either.

Tremendous potential ruined by rushing the story. Scenes are just thrown one after the other at the viewer with no build-up, which means no suspense, no wild speculation, no anxiety...and no sense of horror. The first episode should have spanned at least 5.
