A new director and script writer has me a little hesitant, but I'll keep an optimistic attitude. The first season was quite good and I'm really looking forward to see what direction they go with this new adaptation.

Yeah a completely new director and screenwriter is really strange, especially since they first announced this so soon after Stampede finished. Was there some sort of internal discontent over Stampede?

The 2.5 year time skip, that and the teaser image tells me Stargaze will pretty much begin in the same time and place that Trigun Maximum began. I hope that some of my favorite parts from Maximum will make it in in some form. I won't mind if they're a little different, though. As long as it engages me with the same depth of emotion Trigun always does I'll be pretty happy.

I'm pretty sure Madhouse Trigun is the one late-90's/early-2000s-era Space Western that HASN'T had a Blu-Ray release yet. It's the gap I was looking to fill.
