Nintendo knows what people will try to do for scalpers and other buyers will try to do in order to get the NS2 as cheap as possible. So they are doing everything they can to prevent that.
I feel like the industry roughly is at that point of another game crash with multiple factors having contributed to it and this with the global tariffs might the final trigger.

Lmao this is a huge blow for expats such as myself. Not that I normally buy consoles on launch, but Switch 2 releases on my bday and I won’t even be able to preorder because my main Nintendo account is the one for my home country. RIP, well hopefully the restrictions will be lessened post launch…..
Ngl I was freaking out a bit when I first heard the news cause I forgot the word meaning “available for a limited time” can also just mean “exclusive” and was imagining the worst case scenario where I couldn’t even get one.

Besides the last bullet point these are the same requirements for the US pre orders.

The gaming industry has become so bloated and awful I wonder if that wouldn't be for the best. Just reset everything and start over.
