Apparently the article writer can't count cause that's four characters, it's just that Tangle and Whisper are going to release at the exact same time rather than on different dates like the other two, that's why they shared a "third" spot.

This is prolly gonna get an eye-roll from outside of the playerbase, but having been around since the Genesis days & having witnessed all of the ups and downs Sonic has had over the years....
Crossworlds has been one of the best value purchases I've had from a new game in ages. Got the DX Pass for less than $75 during pre-order, so that's 3 Sonic Prime characters and the Werehog it came with. Already got Minecraft and Spongebob is coming up. MegaMan, Avatar, and TMNT coming later. Joker, Ichiban, and Miku all came free with weekend events and some fun cosmetics + car parts. There's still more coming, AND Sega was taking consensus on who people want to see added later, possibly for more DLC. All of this is rolling in without me paying extra since I got that DX Pass initially. ....and it's been easier a time than I've had since the Wii trying to round up a group of friends to play a Kart game due to all of the crossplay happening. I have not had such a bang for my buck on a larger game purchase like this since..... GTAV? I cant even remember the last time I've had this many friends all playing a big multiplayer game like this, I'm continually impressed by what they've accomplished with Crossworlds. It feels like such a rare experience now, in 2025 to be this happy spending $60+ on a pre-order and feeling like it actually was WORTH doing at all. |
