This is only a good thing. Based on G Kids previous releases this should be easy to find and affordable. I want to see them get more licenses.

It seems GKIDS didn't dub this and not contact NYAV POST to produce the dub

Was waiting for this! would of rather of gotten the oversees release because the CE is better, but never got english subs....i still buy em,but it still annoys me that neither the magical mirai or sekai blurays never get subs...more so the sekai ones, they have alot of dialog between songs

and for me it would feel weird to watch this dubbed, been playing Project Sekai for about 3 years and all I've known is their original voices.

Right holders actually prohibited any dub from being made which is why Peppermint Anime (movie's German licensor) releasing their first sub-only release. It is rare right holders refused a dub most of time it is probably because it lacks M&Es material (especially for older anime) or such cases where the licensors hated an English dub of Yuri on Ice by FUNimation so much that they decided to not let other licensors to make dubs.

He might have a different source but the first time I heard about that was from someone who translated comments from Anime Limited (French licensor) from a 2018 issue of AnimeLand magazine.

Just to clarify, this translated tweet was in addition to the snippet in the Anime Land article? Because that just says that the licensors refused any other language dubs, not that they also hated the English dub.

Not surprised, the game also doesn't have dub and finding people who is skilled enough to tune Miku and co's into speaking English and willing to be paid pennies is probably impossible... Not to mention the songs.

It is probably based on people's assumptions (as I get it info from Blu-ray forums) so like Farhanawesome said, it is possibly characters' accents that somehow offended licensers and overreacted to it (even tho considered kinda fine dub by people who watched it)
