genuinely think that innsmouth no yakata is probably one of the best virtual boy title (which isn't saying a lot, becuase...y'know...it's the freakin' virtual boy...), so to see it finally be playable over here is really nice.
can't wait to see if someone's gonna play these games using that vb headset, i just find that thing a 'lil funny. i'm still looking for a reason to buy a switch 2...because right now, there really isn't especially since i have a steam deck... |

There's also a cardboard Virtual Boy headset available for those who want to play VB games, but don't want to buy the replica headset, though I wonder if this replica will end up selling more units than the original Virtual Boy.
I do wonder how many unreleased game are sitting on Nintendo's vault, they seem preserve lots of game files, which is kind of interesting considering that some developers like Kojima have mentioned that many Japanese companies never had a particularly interest in preserving their games, they just deleted the files or threw away all the storage media with the games' files. There's been some interesting discoveries, aside from the infamous Nintendo Giga Leak from a few years back, there's the incomplete version of Resident Evil 2's rom before the game was revamped, discs contaning the work in progress for Mark of the Wolves' sequel on the NeoGeo, and I just recently watch a video in which some Western Mega Man fans wanted to buy some files belonging to Capcom from the mid-90s that had info on a cancelled Mega Man X interactive movie, but some Japanese fans outbid them and they kept the files in order to protect the developers' identities. |
