I thought they started simultaneously with the sub. Oh well. I guess this way is makes sense.
I mean... Sub goes through Spring and Summer, then dub follows in Fall and Winter. A constant flow of One Piece... unless these dubbed episodes won't be weekly like the sub. I only just got to the 2nd episode of Wano with the dub. I have been caught up with the sub for so many years. |

While I'd love a Simul-Dub for One Piece, it makes sense that it isn't feasible. There's so many characters, sometimes even characters that haven't been seen for several episodes and only show up for a few minutes. Dubbing it must require a lot work and healthy time management for everyone involved. Especially since many VAs have been spread out between Texas and California, and some have even switched to recording in home studios.
You're right that this schedule means that there will always be One Piece for the fans who watch it in both languages. Usually they just drop all the episodes at once, which is fine by me. I love binging One Piece. |
