Which Anime is it?

i've been looking at some old VHS tapes today and i saw an anime eps from back when i was just a little boy.
so here are 2 animedescriptions that i saw but can't remember the name off,
1) It is a series that takes place in possibly britain in the 19th century. The main caracther is a young blonde girl named Candy and she always has a white racoon with her. She lives with a young non, an old lady and a bunch of children in a nice countryside.
One day, somebody tells her she must go to London but she doesn't wanna go, runs of together with a boy who gets sick becauses it rains and so. In the end, she does go to London and she is put inside a very strict school.

2)Also an oldie, Aliens with human forms are on the runs because their home planet is being attacked by an enemy. The leader of the group is a young princess and on board are 3 giant robots but nobody is able to control them.
4 Humans are accidentally beamed on board and it seems that 3 of them aer able to control those robots and start to fight the enemy. Later on, the lieutenant of the princess switches sides and controls an enemy robotsuit.
In the end, the lieutenants robot and the robot controlled by the main character form a weapon that will finally defeat the enemy and they set course to their home planet.
the good guys had 3 robots + the main character had taken possesion of more humanlike red robot wich he could summon at his will.
I know, it is a bit vague all and it is rather old

sounds like the manga/ tv series Candy Candy to me.

EDIT: the 2nd one is Ninja Robots
