Has anyone else seen the first couple of episodes yet? I have to admit on a random search of Kazaa I found the first two episodes and couldnt help but download them.
What I saw left my with my jaws hanging... The visuals were amazing, which many great touches from the movie. Everything melded perfectly with the movie.
Though I wasnt sure if they had been released yet. The animation could be nothing but the real thing (it was great to say the least.. ) I was wondering if any one that had seen them new the accuracy of the subtitles.. I doubt they made them up.. they are just off at times.
So if you could help me that be great.

I have seen both as well. It does look well done including the dubs/subs. I am wondering what episode they are on over in Japan? I viewed the first 2 episodes weeks ago so new ones should be available. I will definitely buy the set when it is available.

I heard that it is coming over to the US as a TV series but they keep delaying it. Any word on that?

Bandai has teh rights, but they haven't said anything about a tv contract yet.

A Cartoon Network rep made an unofficial statement at a con that it would be on Cartoon Network in October.... but October is past.

I'm pretty sure they've shown 6 episodes. I saw the first episode of GitS: SAC, I liked it but it doesn't hold my intrest as much as Witch Hunter Robin and Naruto right now...

Laughing I'm still waiting for Manmachine Project (Ghost in the shell 2) to come over to the states.

From what I have found on http://www.production-ig.com/ is that Masamune actually isn't doing that much, but I might be wrong since my information is almost 1 year old.

I am very intested in seeing this series, but like normal, it will probably be awhile before they bring it shore-side.

All above is just what I know, I could be wrong.

Actually, they have. They apparently confirmed that it will air on CN during a panel at the Metreon Festival of Anime on October 12th (scroll down to the fourth paragraph).

A minor point, but there wasn't any date given for its start. Here's the original report from the panel.

It was speculated that it would air in October, because of the rumblings about a "simultaneous" broadcast, but I'm pretty sure the network has never said anything about when it might air (officially or otherwise).

Only four so far. Two per month, starting on the first of each month, and running throughout the month (it's airing on Pay-Per-View in Japan). They'll complete the airing of the series in October of next year.

Oh, I didn't know that. That's slower than I thought...
