My Amazon package with Battle Royale Ultimate Edition 2, 3, 4 & 5 arrived today. Teenagers slaughtering each other - yeah! I also got my last package from TRSI yesterday: Emma: A Victorian Romance, Seasons 1 & 2, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo box set, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World thinpak and Trinity Blood DVD box set.

Due to heartbreak at my TRSI shipment never arriving, I have been taking a break from anime (watching Supernatural and old Frankenstein movies instead). But just recently I picked up a few new things:
Wings of honneamise ROD Coyote ragtime show - vol 1 Shuffle - collection 1 Black lagoon - 002 Also received Gundam 08th MS Team from TRSI. Watched one episode so far, and this "classic" has not impressed. |

I've finished all of Edition 1 and I've started Edition 2. I'm really enjoying it so far, but you should be aware that in a Talkback thread about the Edition 1 review, a lot of posters seemed to be down on it, dissing the art work and the writing. animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=117060 I like the art work and the story is working big time for me. I think some people were put off by some instances of pretty explicit sexual content. I won't lie to you - the material is effed up. Some of the characters are reasonably noble, but overall, the story really is a study in human cruelty. If that doesn't put you off, you may like it, too. eyeresist - sorry to hear that your package never arrived; I was keeping my fingers crossed for you. As I say, the inability of international customers (even us Canucks) to track packages from TRSI is a real flaw in their system. |

Thanks for the sympathy, Blood-. I will wait until the 2 month anniversary of shipment notice (two weeks from now) before completely giving up hope, but I figure I'd better start getting in the mindset now. Stuff has occasionally been strangely delayed in transit, e.g. last year an Amazon parcel was temporarily "misplaced" in a distribution centre in New Zealand (making me wonder if all Amazon shipments to Australia have to take a little holiday in Hobbit-land before finally being delivered).Anyhoo, I am back on the anime bandwagon, and will probably watch Honneamise tonight

ooo. Manga for Battle Royale? I knew there was a novel. I saw the first live-action movie and loved it. Maybe if there is a manga there will be an anime? *fingers crossed* |

I was thinking about getting the manga too, I'm just waiting for a good sale before I jump and get it. I loved the movie, and I really like the book too even though it takes FOREVER to finish. |

Recently got:
Black Lagoon: 2nd Barrage series set. I didn't even know this full set was out already, so I had to pick up the hell outta that! Claymore v4. even though I still haven't finished the 3rd volume. Rosario+Vampire v1-6. Yup, I got sucked in, and there's no hope for me. But honestly, the manga isn't bad... Soon to get: Clannad pt2 And what's the deal with the Zegapain Anime Legends set?!?!?! It's scheduled release was this tuesday, but everywhere has it listed as 'backordered' and Amazon says 'discontinued by manufacturer,' what the hell's goin' on? That was one of the releases I was most looking forward to... |

My order from Amazon came in, and I got:
Vagabond volumes 1 and 2 (VizBig Editions) Azumanga Daioh Omnibus Yotsuba&! volumes 3-5 Vagabond makes me wish I'd ordered the third VizBig edition at the same time, and that I'd picked it up sooner. |
