Why does the forum repeatedly change the name of my thread?

I am referring to the Bakemonogatari thread, in which a fullstop has now mysteriously been added to it three times. So instead of "Bakemonogatari (with index)" as the title, which is what I prefer it to be, I get "Bakemonogatari (with index)." I have noticed this problem with the Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 thread, but luckily it only happened once.

Now, a fullstop may seem trivial to you, and it in itself isn't too bad. It's the principle of the thing; the forum shouldn't be doing anything to the title in the first place. Why does it do this? I notice that virtually every thread ends with a fullstop, question mark or exclamation mark. So if you don't put one of those in yourself, the forum automatically responds by placing a fullstop? What does it care?

The thread titles were chosen by me, and I think they are perfectly fine. I don't need some bot going around trying to second-guess me again and again. Especially when it leaves no trace of its presence other than a darned fullstop.

That's just me being anal(period)

I can(apostrophe)t stand open(hyphen)ended topic titles(comma) and thus end them with punctuation marks(period period period)

Is a period or end to a sentence really that bothersome to you(question mark period period)

I like to bring order to chaos for a living(period)

Since I'm unsure if you posted merely as a joke or were really admitting responsibility, all I will say is I am also anal, and will edit the title of my topic to exclude all fullstops. Period.

I more than amenable to changing things when asked. It's just that I didn't know what was going on. Indeed, I was questioning my own sanity for a while there.
