The designer artbox that came with Vol 1+2 was really flimsy almost paper thin. The standalone artbox is a lot better. In terms of quality its like a ADV cardboard artbox just a little thinner. It's not really spectacular like the Beck artbox, but it was worth the $11 I paid for it.

I refuse to pay even a dime for this piss-poor business move.
It would've been remotely acceptable if the artbox came with...say a bonus DVD with some extra crap on it. But barebones? Kthnxbye. |

EXACTLY. The first time I saw it, I thought it was a joke. I bought the Japanese artbox to overman king gainer to hold the dvd's, but at least that came with an artbook and the first japanese dvd. |

I did the same with the Australian release of v.1 of Death Note, since there was no R1 artbox. Beautiful artbox, too. But I do have qualms about JUST buying an artbox--at least at that price. Knock it down to $10 or $12 and, houston, we have a deal! |
