Alright while I was at ANN just a moment ago I had some bogus anitvirus software/spyware program pop up to be installed. Every time I clicked cancel it kept popping back up. This is a screencap of it.
It happened twice and would not go away except when I closed ANN. It didn't pop up either until I logged on here. I was curious if anyone else has had something like this happen? |

I visit 2 Proboards forums and they've had the exact same problem in the past couple of days. Looks like it has something to do with Google and their ads. Hasn't happened to me so far, though.

I open this site everyday, but this is the first time my Norton has identified a threat. It says to be cautious, but my system is protected from attacks. Im a loyal reader, but im concerned cause this never happened before. We'll see.....

Unfortunately I can't read anything on that screenshot.
And I've said it before and I'll say it again: the #1 thing we need to know when you have a problem like that is the value of the "Ads by" line at the bottom of the page. Without that there is literally nothing we can do to find out the source of the spyware/spam. |

yea unfortunately I forgot I had my photobucket account set to automatically re-size images when I uploaded and I didn't save the screen shot itself to my hard drive. If it happens again I'll make sure I upload the full size screen shot so it's legible. |
